The freshman volleyball ended their season with 15-2 and with many memories. Alexa Azurmendi enjoyed her volleyball season with her team and coach.
“Our season went really good, winning 15-2 so far,” said Azurmendi. “We overall had a really good season and we all combined well.”
There were some ups and downs during the season but the team made it through the season.
“Sometimes we get frustrated at each other but that was it,” said Azurmendi.
Peyton Anguiano had a great time in her freshmen season on volleyball, she enjoyed her team and being with them.
“Hanging out with my teammates and getting close with everyone,” said Anguiano. “The one loss we had against a team we shouldn’t have lost’.”
Tawnya Root, the coach of the freshman volleyball team, enjoyed the season.
“This was a fantastic season for the Lowry freshman volleyball team,” said Root. ”It was an incredible group of girls to coach and not only did we have an amazing season but we had a lot of fun doing it.”
Root was proud of her team and how far they made it through the season.
“This group of girls played well together and they truly understand the definition of a team,” said Root. “They made me proud to be their coach daily and I would like to thank each one of them and their families for their time, effort, and awesome attitudes. I am excited to watch these young athletes grow at Lowry High School.”
Coach Root was pleased with the team she coached and all the moments she was able to experience with them.
