The Humboldt Museum will host the Humboldt County School District Student Art Show this March. The art show contains work from students of all ages from all over Humboldt County. It ranges from paintings to drawings, to ceramics.

“It’s going to be our 44th annual Humboldt County student art show. It’s sponsored by the Lowry High School Art Department. We’re really excited because we’re going to have quite a variety of new works. It’s going to showcase work from students in Mcdermitt, Lowry High School, Winnemucca Junior High, and the elementary schools across Winnemucca so we hope that the community will come out on March 7, that’s our opening night, at the museum and take in all the great student work that we have produced this year,” said Lowry art teacher, Julia Topholm

Opening night will be Tuesday, March 7 from 5-7 p.m. The artwork will be up until the end of March. The Museum hours are Wednesday- Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

An artist from Lowry, Odessa Pearrow, gave praise for the show.

“It’s crazy walking into the art show and seeing such crazy pieces that came from a small, quiet town,” said Pearrow.
