Josue Barajas has been recognized as Student-Athlete of the Week by the JV soccer coach, Octavio Ruiz.
“Josue is a leader on and off the field,” said Ruiz. “He takes his responsibilities as a captain very seriously and helps get the team going with warm-ups and stretches.”
Ruiz praised Barajas for his versatility and vision.
“He is an athlete I can place anywhere on the field, and he has the vision that any coach would desire,” said Ruiz.
Barajas himself acknowledged the significance of the leadership role
“I feel really lucky to be in this position,” said Barajas. “Being a captain is challenging, but it’s also very rewarding. It’s a lot of responsibility, but I’m grateful for it.”
Barajas expressed his gratitude towards his coach, who has played a crucial role in his growth as a player and a leader.
“My coach has pushed me to become a better player and a better leader,” said Barajas. “I’m thankful for that.”
