Lowry honors seniors at Scholarship Night

Scholarship Night, a night of excitement, also a night that might slap some in the face with reality.

Scholarship night was held on May 17, at the convention center. There was twice as much money funded compared to last year. The amount funded was $2,231,827, for example, Julia Dufurrena received 10 scholarships including a full ride to College of Idaho for basketball, Kayla Doyle 7 including Torch Chapter of the National Honor Society, Jace Billingsley received 11, With a scholarship to the University of Eastern Oregon for football, Jessica Rackley with 8, including Winnemucca FFA alumni, Bryan Noble with 9, Jonathan Landa with 6, Quinn Norcutt 7, Robert Hoenck 6. And many other Students with numerous scholarships.

Some of the big Scholarships from the mines and local foundations around the community. There were also two times more scholarships going toward the young men and women deciding to serve their country.

The night ended with incredible futures awaiting the seniors of 2012.
