Lowry Staff Members of the Month Social Studies Department

Mr. Warren Stotler has worked at Lowry High School for twenty-two years. He has been to nine countries including, Finland, Russia, Estonia, Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Mexico, and the Bahamas. The most famous person he has ever met was Terry Bradshaw, quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Mr. Mark Carstensen has worked at Lowry for four years. If he had to choose between teaching Freshmen or Seniors, he said he would choose Seniors, because they get his jokes. His first job was as a farm laborer on his uncle’s dairy farm for two summers.

Mr. Beck has taught at Lowry for 18 years. The most famous person he has ever met was Evel Knieval. His first job was as a member of the YCC (Youth Conservation Corps) working for the Forest Service in Montana.

Mr. Lucas has been a student-teacher at Lowry for one year. The most famous person he has ever met was Travis Pastrana. If he had to choose between teaching Freshmen or Seniors, he would choose Seniors. “Freshmen “don’t know anything” and Seniors “know everything“, Said Mr. Lucas.

Mrs. Mercado has taught at Lowry for seven years. She would choose teaching seniors over freshmen except around May. The most famous person she has ever met was Edward James Olmos.
