Lowry wrestling keeps rolling; places 6th at TOC

The Tournament of Champions (TOC) is one of the biggest wrestling tournaments in the United States. The Bucks placed within the top ten out of the 91 teams.

Lowry traveled to Reno Nevada to participate in the TOC (Tournament of Champions). The TOC had a total of 91 teams in the tournament, any team from any state could enter this tournament. Lowry have really made a name for themself in wrestling, and have tested their skills in many tournaments and have won those tournaments.

Fergi Herrera won the TOC and was Lowry’s only wrestler who placed first at this tournament.

“Winning the TOC is my greatest personal achievement, but I couldn’t have done it without my teammates and my great coaches,” said Fergi Herrera.

The TOC is the true test of a wrestling individual and a team as a whole. Lowry had four wrestlers place in the top ten in the TOC. Cody Anderson placed sixth, Michael Billingsley placed fourth, Jace Billingsley placed third, and Fergi Hererra placed first. Herrera is now a High School All-American.

The Bucks placed seventh overall and finished with a total score of 126.5. Lowry finished second in the state of Nevada behind Green Valley.
