Spanish teacher, Mr. Clay Sagers, chose Student of The Week based on her hard work and participation. Luz Magana has been working hard in her Spanish class and is recognized for her efforts.

“Luz is always trying her hardest throughout the class and makes an effort to complete all her assignments,” said Sagers.

Spanish allows Magaña to expand her knowledge of a language she grew up learning and speaking.

“I like that I can learn more about my first language in a sense,” said Magaña.

Sagers can see Magaña’s efforts and has noticed how clear her understanding is of the class.

“She is excellent during class, she hasn’t even missed one question,” said Sagers. “Maybe one question wrong all year long.”

Magaña is a good demonstration of a student within her Spanish class. She does her work diligently, which helps her want to learn more about the language.

“I am able to learn how to use Spanish grammatically,” said Magaña. “I know how to speak it and the basics of how to write in Spanish, but I never knew the grammatical ways of writing.”
