Every month the Lowry High School Student Council nominates a faculty member for Staff member of the month. The staff member nominated for the month of September is Jonathan Gibson.
Mr. Gibson is a special education and language arts teacher at the high school. He was selected because of his friendly nature towards students and his caring attitude with everyone.
Mr. Gibson has been a teacher at LHS for 13 years. He said that he has uncountable amounts of wonderful memories from working with his students.
He said,” There are too many [memories] to choose from but all fall in the category of students coming to me and genuinely wanting to learn.” The student council asked Mr. Gibson what his self-acclaimed superlative would be and he said, “Most fortunate husband, father, and teacher.”
We are definitely most fortunate for having Mr. Gibson. Lowry’s greatest thanks go out to him for being such a kind and generous person.
