NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Charlotte

On Saturday, Oct 11, 4:30 pm, be sure to catch the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway on ABC. If you have been following this cup, be sure to tune in for some intense racing. Who knows, perhaps Tony Stewart will make an appearance.

To those of you following everything NASCAR, you may or may not remember the recent incident involving Kevin Ward Jr. During a dirt-track race last month in Canandaigua, Ward’s car hit a wall after being bumped by Stewart’s car. Ward got out of the car and walked onto the track, where he was hit by Stewart. Rumor is that Stewart will not be charged with misconduct. According to prosecutors, Stewart was allegedly intoxicated with a fair amount of marijuana thus impairing his judgment. This however was not the case.

So far the racer at the highest position in the cup is Brad Keselowski with five wins. Second place currently belongs to Jeff Gordon, with four races in the cup, including a most recent win at Dover International Speedway a few days ago. Joey Logano is currently in third, Jimmie Johnson in fourth, and Kevin Harvick in fifth. The race in Kansas may change things yet but that still has to be determined on race day.

The Charlotte race will air on ABC Network on October 11 at 4:30 pm. Check your local listings for broadcast details. All people who have been following the cup since September 14 should look forward to a good race. Those of you jumping in late into the cup should do their best to catch up with what has been happening.
