Senior Brienna Everhart was selected as Student-Athlete of the Week by coach Kitty Norcutt due to her outstanding performance during the entire season.

“Since the beginning of the season, Brie has gone above and beyond the expectations of other people. During summer conditioning, she was running on the days we weren’t running to better herself,” coach Norcutt said.

Everhart joined cross country during her senior year. She made an impressive improvement in dropping her time for only participating in a single season.

“At this last meet [Bob Firman Invitational], she ran a 26:12. It’s eight minutes faster than at the beginning of the season,” stated Coach Norcutt.

Everhart’s work ethic has been a factor in how her times have dropped throughout the season.

“I’ve improved by working hard and dedication, really working and pushing myself every day to become better than yesterday.  My motivation has to be improving my times and making myself a better person–more athletically fit, both physically and mentally,” said Everhart.
