Sophomore Sierra Maestrejuan was picked as Student-Athlete of the Week by coach Ty Lucas of the varsity girls’ softball team.
Lucas chose Maestrejuan because of her hard work in the field.
“She is new on the team and works very hard every day at practice. She also picked up very quickly on the drills,” said Lucas.
Lucas added how impressed he is with her performance during the games.
“She has a very good batting technique and has a strong defense. I am glad she is on our team this year,” said Lucas.
Against Fernley, Sierra Maestrejuan picked up the win in the circle for the Bucks. She also led Lowry with three hits, three RBIs, and a home run.
Lowry will host Spring Creek on March 23.
