This year started off a little rocky after being told basketball was too much of a risk to participate in. However, after some time an opportunity arose. Volleyball, golf, girls and boys soccer, and football was a go. Not mentioning how track and swim will be happening as well.
“I am very happy we got to play football after not doing anything for so long,” said Mr. Adam Sorenson.
Mr. Sorenson is one of the JV football coaches who is just grateful to have a season, despite it being short, and all the new rules that were brought along.
“It has been different playing soccer this year, just because it is a lot colder,” said Jesus Guizar.
Jesus is a freshman playing on the varsity boys soccer team as a defender but mostly plays as a left midfielder. As a midfielder, Guizar runs up and down the field transitioning from offense to defense.
Girls varsity golf will be traveling to Fallon on March 23. Boys soccer will be going to Fernley on March 26 while girls soccer plays at home. Volleyball will be playing at home against Fernley on Friday, and football will be making their way over to Spring Creek on Saturday.
