By Sydney Blankenship Posted January 27, 2011

The varsity boys had quite a game going on when they beat Battle Mountain by 41 points, 69-28.

“Everything was working for us and we took advantage of our size,” said senior player Anders Pace. The team executed exceptionally well and the defense played outstandingly. Not one person stood out, it was the whole team doing their job, that translated into the winning of this game.

Practice has set the tone for the team.

“Everything we are doing in practice has definitely been paying off,” said Pace.

The offense have been getting better as the season progresses. It has become more fluid.

However, there is always stuff to work on. For the team, it would be trying to commit fewer turnovers, according to Pace.

With the season almost to a close, the boy’s varsity team is 8-7. With playoffs around the corner, the games will become more meaningful. The Buckaroos will be playing Spring Creek on Tuesday, February 1, 2011.
