Varsity boys get revenge against Spring Creek

In the first league game of the season, the boys’ soccer team turn’s the tables on Spring Creek and gets revenge for a loss from the previous week.

Lowry won the game 7-1, but they lost to the Spartans in a preseason tournament the previous week.

Senior, Anders Pace, said “We came out and executed well, especially in controlling the ball.”

The varsity boys’ soccer team made a great impression in the first tournament of the season.

“It was definitely great to come back and show them what it takes. I think it’s really important also because in the previous week we split with Spring Creek so to beat them with a high score is pretty nice,” Pace said.

“We totally dominated them, we just couldn’t score. That’s why it was really important to come out and show that we can beat them out,” Pace said.

Looking back to last year they defiantly have more potential and are much faster. The team’s expectations are to try and make it all the way to play-offs and maybe even go for state. “The realignment doesn’t really have an effect on how well we play,” Pace said.

The varsity boys soccer team will be back in action on September 17, 2010 against Battle Mountain.
