Varsity boys start the season off with a win

Basketball season is finally here and the varsity boys are ready to play.

The Bucks played Reno High, a Division 1 school, on November 28 and came out with a win, with the final score of 60-58.

“We have been focusing on getting in shape and playing some good, hard defense,” said Jed Teichert.

Lowry takes pride in their defense and improving on their skills. boy’s basketball made it to state last season but lost in the final game, this year they want to get their spot back.

“If we keep practicing hard and improving we plan to be number one in our league,” said Teichert.

Lowry boy’s basketball will not back down. With games coming up, they plan to put their hard work and dedication to the test.

Jed Teichert, Nathan Lutzow, Brady Lange, Brian Shettler, and Jared Taylor started the game. Dominic Diaz, Christian Riddle, Jacob Hales, Omar Guerrero, Jacob Hernandez, Joe Taylor, and Brody Goucher make up the rest of the varsity squad.
