Coming back from being 2nd in the 3A Northeast, most of the girls returning have high hopes for the 2024 softball season. The girls are all looking forward to the upcoming season with a new coach, Megan Maga replacing Austin Mayo.

Last year the team made it to the state tournament but fell in the championship game to North Valleys.

Sophomore, Natalya Guizar is looking forward to improving her skills during her season. As a freshman on varsity last year, she is really excited to have this opportunity for another year.

“My number one goal for this season is to get a better batting average than my freshman year, become a better pitcher for the team and most importantly to build a stronger relationship with everyone individually,” said Guizar.

Everyone, especially the coach, is looking forward to coming back with a bang this year.

“We will definitely be competitive and were hoping to avenge some losses that left a sour taste in our mouth after last season,” said Maga.

Senior Cambria Tisue is excited about the new opportunities coming her way, especially for her senior year.

“I am looking forward to the competition we will see this year and the opportunities there will be for the team,” said Tisue.

Roster: Elisabeth George, Adalyn Entwistle, Crisslyn Rodriguez, Cambria Tisue, Hayden Case, Savannah Stoker, Maura Braatz, Natalya Guizar, Bailey Peterson, Maddsion McClure, Liliana Aguliar and Isabel Upton.
