Shaun Murgel said it was a “beautiful” day at the track meet on Saturday, March 3 at Spring Creek. It was the first meet of the season, and so far people have been doing pretty well.

Murgel said there were some great performances; James Nelson and Raven Black did good in the high jump, the distance kids all did good, Kinzie McClintick in long-distance, the sprinters are getting there, and Cody Anderson did well in the discus.

Kinzie McClintick shared what she thought of the meet. McClintick said that she was really nervous at first but then realized it really wasn’t that bad and she did pretty good. McClintick’s expectations for the season are to dominate.

“I think the season is going to be amazing. Lowry’s track team really knows what they’re doing,” said McClintick.

Besides the fact that it was treacherous outside, the wind was blowing and it snowed like crazy off and on, the track meet went pretty well,” McClintick said.

McClintick feels that everyone on the Lowry track team did really well. Kinzie McClintick ran the 2-mile and was recognized by Murguel for doing very well. So, even though it was only the first meet, the team is starting off with confidence to dominating in the season.
