Loosely based on the Stephen King novel “The Colorado Kid”, “Haven” delivers an ever-changing plot that will keep the audience enthralled week after week. The relatively unknown series debuted on July 9 on the Syfy network.
The plot follows FBI agent Audrey Parker who ends up in the small coastal town of Haven. However, the secrets in the town are more than that of any normal small town. The town is plagued by what are called the “troubles” as the locals, unfortunately, dubbed it. These troubles are strange abilities that people have that are the center of the plotline. With the help of police officer Nathan Warnos, who himself is affected, they help the troubled who are injuring other residents of the town, all while they search for Parker’s mother, whom they believe has a connection to the town.
The entire show has the compelling Stephen King essence while holding true to the originality the writers created for it.
New “Haven” episodes premiere every Friday on the SyFy channel.
