Winnemucca talent takes the stage

On Saturday, January 28 Winnemucca Idol will be held at the Winnemucca Junior High School as a fundraiser for the Hinton family and Kim Baker. Winnemucca Idol will be a talent show that will be a help to raise money for Mitch Hinton, a local police officer, and his family. Also, it will help donate to help Kim Baker and her fight against cancer.

There will be awards for different age groups, those age groups are adult, teen, youth, and 12 and under categories. The event will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 28.

Lowry student Maeve Donovan will be participating in the contest.

Donovan said, “Yes and I will be playing a piece on the piano. It should be fun and I’m looking forward to performing it.”
