Drama to present Edgar Allan Poe

This year Drama wanted to do a serious play. “An Evening with Edgar Allan Poe” is just that.

Katie Boyle is in Drama and Stagecraft. This is Boyle’s senior year.

“This is a serious play. We all are enjoying the darkness and we are happy to shake it up a little,” said Boyle.

Just in time for Halloween, the drama students will present a collection of frightening stories from the famous author.

Ms. Corrine James is the director of these fantastic plays put on by the kids at Lowry.

“I am just so proud of the students, they have all worked so hard. All of the credit goes to the students for all the creativity, artistic talents, and dramatic effects,” said James.

Nate Nelson is in stagecraft, he has been working hard on many props for the plays.

“The play is unfortunately only two days, so come and watch because greatness doesn’t last long,” said Nelson.

Lowry Drama and Stagecraft hope for many people to show up and support them. These plays are exciting and crazy. All the plays have a crazy twist to them. Edgar Allen Poe was known for some of his dark poems, stories, and plays. Drama and stagecraft is bringing everything to life.

Sadly the play is only going on for two days. So if you want to come watch, hurry in on Monday, October 22 at 7 PM and Tuesday, October 23 at 7 PM. The price for adults is $5, students $3, and $1 for any others.
