This season showed some players the meaning of being part of a team.

“I really enjoyed this season,” said Burt. “I think we all played good and I am going to truly miss the season.”

Other players such as Elyza Sirotek will not miss it as much but are still sad to see the season go.

“I’m glad I don’t have practice every day after school but I’m going to miss playing with all of my friends,” said Sirotek.

Coach Larry Renteria believes that the team did well.

“Overall, I was pleased with the season and honored to work with the girls, a great team with a bright future,” said Renteria.

He is excited to watch his players grow in the program.

“I truly look forward to watching them next year and beyond as they continue to compete, improve, and strive to be the best team they can be,” said Renteria.

The freshman girl’s team ended with a record of 6-6.
