As the new season is approaching, Lowry is excited to welcome the new head boys’ soccer coach, Cristina Cuevas. Cuevas is a familiar figure in the school district, working for a total of six years. Of those six years, this will be her fifth year coaching Lowry soccer for both the boy’s and girl’s programs.

“You see these athletes become better throughout the years and you see them become great young men,” said Cuevas.

Cuevas is excited to become the head coach for boys, as it is a step up for her after all the years of coaching.

“I love the sport and being able to coach at this level has many challenges but very rewarding,” said Cuevas.

Cuevas is ready to begin coaching and supporting the soccer players through the upcoming season.

“I feel as a coach they will gain knowledge in the sport but more so you hope to make a positive impact on their lives,” said Cuevas.
