What better way is there to get in the Halloween spirit than to go see a fall favorite, ‘Frankenstein’ presented by Lowry High School Drama and Stagecrafts?

Students are excited to be starting the new school year with such an exciting play and to build up the new talent.

“I’m most excited for the great memories and the joy of the drama family,” said Nate Chapman.

Stagecrafts has been working hard the last few months to produce effects and create a set that will scare and amaze the audience.
“I’m most excited about the special effects and sets because this year we have productive stagecraft and I like the work they’ve done so far,” said Hannah Hillyer.

The lead role, Doctor Victor von Frankenstein is to be played by none other than Mickey Donovan, and Frankenstein’s monster is to be played by Liam Gallups. Other roles include; Shaelyn Forney, Camryn Maher, and Devan LaTray as Elizabeth Lavenza, Jorge Bernal as Henry Clerval, Nate Chapman as William von Frankenstein, Marcos Duran as Fritz, Clay Erquiaga as Felix, Omar Guerrero as De Lacey, Jacob Hernandez as Hans, Hannah Hillyer and Madison Riley as Louise, Erick Zamora as Conrad, Nathan Lutzow as Robert Walton, Ian Maher as Mr. Williamson, and Aimee Brandon, Kenzie Johnson, Mardi Johnson, and Amber Allen as sailors.

Drama and stagecraft students have been working persistently to create a production to impress the community. They are all excited to be putting on such a beloved play.

“I would say what I’m most excited for in Frankenstein is that it’s a 1930’s play and so it’s not just going to be messing around, it’s going to be suspenseful; like not super serious, but theatrical,” said Donovan.

Frankenstein will be presented on October 26, 27, and 28 at 7 p.m. in the Lowry Auditorium. The cost is $3 for students and $5 for adults.

“You better lace your shoes up tight because we’re going to knock your socks off,” said Camryn Maher.
