“The Middle” on ABC is a comedy about a middle-class family living in the middle of nowhere America.
The show stars Patricia Heaton as Frankie, the tired mom who desperately needs to sell a car to save her job and family. Neil Flynn plays her husband Mike, and their three children Axl, Sue, and Brick are played by Charlie McDermott, Eden Sher, and Atticus Shaffer respectively.
Axl is the typical reluctant teenager who spends most of the show asleep. Sue is desperately trying to fit into anything. She tries out for show choir, swim team, and even ball girl without success. Brick is socially challenged. Together they make a dysfunctional family, which is just trying to survive the cutthroat city of Orson, Indiana. The awkward moments and funny cast make it a must-see.
