What to Watch in Sports

Nevada will be hosting possibly one of the biggest games in their history against Boise State on Friday, November 26 at Mackey Stadium.

Boise State will be Nevada’s toughest game of the year. With the Broncos barely hanging on at number four in the BCS standings, the Wolf pack (standing at number 19 in the BCS) will look to crush Boise State’s perfect season and their national championship dreams.

BSU is ranked second top scoring average and also second in the lowest opponent scoring average. Nevada shoots back at them by being fourth in scoring average in the nation. UNR is also third in the nation in total rushing yards, led by quarterback Colin Kaepernick and running back Vai Taua. Boise State’s offense is led by quarterback, and Heisman trophy candidate, Kellen Moore.

The Wolf Pack’s defense and offense will need to show up and bring their A-game to even attempt to beat the Broncos. If the Pack comes out on top, it could mean a slightly higher ranking in the BCS, but if Boise State wins, this could mean a chance at a national title.
