What to Watch Sports: RSL v Colorado

By Nico Espinola Posted May 1, 2016

On Saturday, May 7, two of the top teams in the Western Conference, Real Salt Lake and the Colorado Rapids face off in Colorado.

Colorado is currently at the top of the conference at 17 points. Salt Lake is also at 17 points but in second because of the goal differential.

While there are many more matches left in the season, both teams are off to excellent starts. Colorado has two losses on the season and RSL only has one. Both teams also have five wins.

With players such as Jermaine Jones, Marco Pappa, and Dillon Powers the Rapids have been playing in good form lately. They are 4-1 in their last five matches. The loss was a 1-0 loss to Salt Lake.

RSL of course has the goalkeeper that is always tough to score on, Nick Rimando. RSL is also 4-1 in their last five. The team has been playing in a similar form as Colorado.

This match decides which team will be on top of the Western Conference standings and is a match to watch.
