Recently, both the band and the swing choir traveled to Anaheim, California, and attended the Heritage Festival and both received silver ratings.

There are five levels in the rating system used at the festival. Gold is the highest level. With both band and choir getting silver it means that they are in the 80 to 90 percentile in the nation.

In an email, Mr. Criddle talked about how he thought the band and choir did.

“The students worked hard to get there and performed well,” he said.

The band also performed well and took third place among all the bands that were at the festival.

A member of the band and choir, Micah Somers, spoke about how he thought both groups did.

“At our competition, we did very well. The Band played probably the best it ever has and the choir did exceptionally well,” Somers said.
