Q. What’s your name? Do you have a nickname?
A. My name’s Jeremiah Maestrejuan and yeah my nickname is J Money.

Q. What year in school are you?
A. Well, I graduate in 2013 if that’s what you’re asking.

Q. What are your usual after-school plans?
A. Just chilling with my friends and basketball practice.

Q. Do you have a job?
A. Yeah I’m a lifeguard at the local pools.

Q. Have you ever had to save someone from drowning?
A. Yeah I threw the tube out to a little kid coming out the slide one time.

Q. Have you ever had to perform CPR?
A. No.

Q. Do you hope that one day you can?
A. You know, it would be cool, but at the same time I don’t really know I would want to.

Q. So seeing that you are a lifeguard, I assume you are a good swimmer?
A. I’m alright.

Q. Do you think you could out-swim a shark?
A. Uh, definitely not.

Q. Can you tell me something that you can out-swim?
A. ………..Probably a dog.

Q. Do you have any hobbies?
A. Chilling with my broskies.

Q. Who are your “broskies”?
A. We got my boy D(Dylan) Keller, Marc Esquivel, Josh Duff, Michael Billingsley, Mike Drake, that crowd.

Q. What do you guys do?
A. Drive around and just get into business and that stuff.

Q. Do you drive?
A. Yes.

Q. What do you drive?
A. A ’96 Honda Accord.

Q. Anything special in that car?
A. I used to have a system in it but it kinda broke so, no.

Q. What class are you going to?
A. I have seventh-period Biology with Mrs. Doyle.

Q. What do you have to say about Mrs. Doyle?
A. She’s the shizz, I guess you can say.

Q. What’s your favorite class this year?
A. I’d have to say Contemporary History with Mr. Beck because he just makes everything fun, he’s really funny, I have a bunch of my friends in there, and it’s an interesting class because I learn a lot and I keep up with the contemporary stuff.

Q. What’s your least favorite class?
A. I’d have to say seventh-period Biology and the only reason I say that is because it’s seventh period and it gets hard to concentrate. It definitely has nothing to do with Mrs. Doyle.

Q. What’s your favorite sport? Why?
A. Basketball because I like to play it and there’s that good feeling you get when you make a deep shot, it’s pretty cool.

Q. Do you expect to take your basketball skills beyond the halls of Lowry and go to college or even going pro?
A. You know it would be cool to play college ball but I doubt it will happen.

Q. What did you think of this interview?
A. It was pretty fun and it made me think a bit so that was kinda fun.
