Michael Billingsley, a freshman on Lowry’s wrestling team, has been chosen as Lowry High School’s Athlete of the week.
Michael Billingsley recently won at the Zone championships, the state qualifier, in the 160 lb. weight class. In addition, he also won at the Fernley tournament earlier in the season.
Michael Billingsley said, “We wrestled really well at zone, if we keep it up we will be state champs.”
Michael has also competed in other Lowry sports, including football, and will be competing in baseball in the spring.
His current record is 43-8.
The Lowry wrestling team, including Michael, is currently going to Las Vegas, Nevada to compete in state.
