Lowry holds annual toy drive

While many prepare for the holidays by purchasing gifts for friends and family members, Lowry students are donating toys to a good cause.

Every year Lowry High School hosts a toy drive. This year the junior class officers are in charge of it.

The toys collected will go to children whose families are unable to purchase them during the holiday season. The donation boxes are located in the Attendance Office. Lowry also held a miracle minute in fifth period to help raise money for this cause. The amount of money raised was $674.45.

Maeve Donovan was proud that they had raised so much money for this cause.

“We bought 700 dollars worth of toys,” reported Donovan excitedly.

Not only is this a great way to help children in need, but it is also a class competition. The last day Lowry will accept donations will be December 14. Get into the holiday spirit and make a child happy by donating new toys.
