Determining where to go after school is a pressing issue for students all over the nation. It’s not a matter of deciding what you want to be when you grow up, it’s a decision that can affect you for the rest of your life. That’s where last week’s career fair comes into play.
On Thursday, November 4, a career fair was organized to give students an idea of what is out there when they graduate. There were many organizations, from colleges to vocational career organizations, catering to different interests in post-high-school opportunities. It also lets students know that college isn’t the only option out there.
Representatives from many government organizations, including the military and other local law enforcement attended as well as representatives from the area’s mines.
It was hard not to take something away from this very informative fair, especially with all the free goodies the booths passed out.
