Q: What grade are you in?
A: I’m graduating this year but it’s my eleventh year.
Q: Do you have any siblings?
A: Yes, two. I have one sister, and she’s older and one brother and he is younger.
Q: Do find that being the middle child is a struggle at times?
A: Yeah… you get picked on the most, I mean, they gang up on me… a lot.
Q: Where, other than Winnemucca, have you lived?
A: I’ve lived in Utah and Washington, Montana, and Las Vegas.
Q: Why do you move so often?
A: My Dad works in the mines as an underground mechanic.
Q: How does Winnemucca compare to the other towns that you have lived in?
A: It’s a very nice place; they’re all about the same to me, kind of.
Q: What is your favorite class?
A: None of them.
Q: Who is your favorite teacher?
A: Mrs. James she’s just so crazy, it’s amazing.
Q: What are your interests?
A: I love books and I draw a lot. I would do sports if I didn’t have a bull’s eye on my face.
Q: What are your post-graduate plans?
A: I most definitely plan on going to college, I want to study massage therapy and culinary. I haven’t decided which one I’m going to do first.
Q: How could high school be better?
A: Well, I think there should be more opportunities for kids to explore their options, like, I am not amazing at Math but I’m pretty good at English and there have been quite a few schools that I’ve gone to that don’t really support what is good for me. They just do what they want to kind of thing.
Q: What are your pet peeves?
A: Immaturity, there is a time when you can be immature but when that time is over, it’s over, no more.
Q: What scares you the most?
A: [I’m] terrified of getting nowhere in life, I want to just be something… I don’t want to be a bum.
Q: Role models?
A: My dad and my mom are the biggest role models I have, I don’t really like any actors because I don’t know the real them. My dad has worked really hard to get to where he’s at and he inspires me to be better.
