Brandi Brooks is a very outgoing young lady. Her position in representing the state is called the NRR- Northern Regional Representative or the Nevada Association of Student Council. This position is very important for linking the Northern schools to the rest of the state. Brooks informs the Northern, Western, and Southern regions of the information that the head president of Student Council sends her, and sits on the state board. Brooks also hosts the president’s meeting.

Brooks represents 17 schools in the Northern region. She tries to motivate the schools to earn awards when they go to state. She does this by trying to get the schools to plan fun activities that Lowry High School has. She also came up with her own award called the Golden Nugget Award. The Golden Nugget Award is an award for the school that completes a checklist of activities in the Northern region. The checklist has a variety of things for each school to do. Within the 17 schools that Brooks represents she assigns them a brother school.

A brother school is another school that the leadership students stay in contact with are their own school. They can send them souvenirs from their own school to show different activities they are doing. It really is a great way to get to know others.

Brooks has been putting together our host regional conference that will be held on November 22. She plans a lot of the meetings for leadership and thanks to her everything runs smoothly.
