Lady Bucks volleyball faces tough obstacle in Wolverines

On September 29, The Lowry varsity volleyball team had a home IA Northern Nevada match-up against the Wolverines of Truckee and didn’t do as well as they hoped. They played the best they could, but couldn’t pull out the victory as they lost two very good games.

“We really played well together, we kept our momentum up and never got down on ourselves, or any of the team,” said junior Allison Barron.

The Lady Bucks have had a frustrating season so far, but yet they’re still improving their skills and their team chemistry every day.

“We’ve really been growing both in our skills and also as a team,” said Barron.

The Buckaroos have had numerous close games this year, but yet still haven’t been able to pull out many wins. Despite their struggles on the court, the Bucks are still looking at the bright side of things.

“We just need to keep working as a whole. One person doesn’t make the team so if we have a strong bond to stand by, nothing can stand in our way,” said Barron.

The Bucks have another division match-up, as they travel to Spring Creek to take on the Spartans, in hope that they not only improve their record, but improve their skills, and get some confidence as they reach the end of their season.
