What to Watch: NHL Playoffs Round 2

By Madison Waldie Posted May 9, 2012

If you pay attention to the National Hockey League as closely as I do, you will know that currently we are in the playoffs and the competition for the Stanley Cup will be held over the next few weeks.

Hockey is a very enjoyable sport to watch, especially this close to the end of the season when the dedication and hard work levels are at the highest. There isn’t another sport where you can watch 200-pound men hit each other with sticks, and knock each other’s teeth out with a chunk of plastic and keep in mind, this is all done on ice skates.

This week there will be a few playoff games that will definitely be worth watching, as the New York Rangers and the Washington Capitals go head-to-head. With the Rangers making an average of 149 shots per game and the Capitols with 133 shots per game, no one knows what to expect. The game will be shown live on Wednesday, May 9, 2012.

So, if you are tired of surfing through re-runs of “Jersey Shore” and “Teen Mom” and you’re ready for some real action, be sure to tune in to these athletic men with their flow. You might even catch them making apple sauce or dropping the mitts.
