Be prepared to be haunted this Halloween season as Lowry Drama and Stagecraft present “Macbeth”, a story full of murder, ghosts, and witches. The performance for the public is October 20, 21, and 22 doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the play starts promptly at 7 p.m. They will also be performing for Lowry’s English classes and one lucky class from French Ford Middle School later in October.

Mickey Donovan is playing the lead role, Macbeth, whose name titles the very play, and as his wife, Lady Macbeth, Jessie Schirrick.

Cast as King Duncan is Brycen Prokasky who you may have heard announcing what’s for lunch. The Three Witches, whose famous lines are “Boil boil toil and trouble fire burn and cauldron bubble,” are Aimee Brandon, Hannah Hillyer, and Chelsea Baker. As Macduff, the hero of the play is Hunter Dimmock, and Kyle Tarr is the epic ghost, Banquo.

Stagecraft has been hard at work these last six weeks at school and on the weekends to create the special effects necessary to bring on the haunted environment.

“I’m most excited for the witches’ scenes, the special effects of it, and the fog. I think those are some of the most interesting scenes and then of course Mickey’s head on a stake with blood and the fight scenes I think will be cool,” said the director Corrine James.

Lowry’s Drama and Stagecraft never disappoint and are preparing to put on the perfect production of “Macbeth”.

“The audience should expect to be entertained and get their money’s worth,” said James.
