Some great games were released in 2015, but developers are going to have to find a way to make 2016 games even better. There are a bunch of promising games coming out in February and March, such as: “Assassin’s Creed Chronicles”, “Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4”, etc. But two of the most promising games are “Far Cry Primal” and “Tom Clancy’s The Division”.
“Far Cry Primal” is another entry for Ubisoft’s successful “Far Cry” series. It has two release dates: it will be released for PS4 and Xbox One around February 23 and then it will come out for Windows around March 1st.
“Far Cry” is a great video game series of open-world combat gameplay. This newest entry takes place in the Stone Age. You can train your animals to help you when you need help clearing an outpost, a bonfire, or a mission. Ubisoft has made a lot of “Far Cry” games for a while now. Each one is better and more involved than the last, so this game should meet a bunch of expectations like a lot of other big companies coming out with games this year.
Based on online videos they have kept a lot of the original attributes in this game such as the outposts and the missions. The beasts are more dangerous and more hostile than they were in “Far Cry 4”. You can go out in an ‘owl view’ and control an owl to scout out outposts and other landmarks. You can even ride and control a mammoth or a saber-toothed tiger. You can level up and upgrade your weapons to kill more armored troops. Whether on land or in the water you will always find a predator that is willing to harm you. You can explore caves and find supplies. If this game was to be rated, it would be close to a 9/10 as there does not seem to be a single flaw in this game so far in the small Pre-Alpha stage it is in.
“Tom Clancy’s The Division” will be released on March 8 for Windows, PS4, and Xbox One. “The Division” is a game made by the same company that brought you “Rainbow 6 Siege” and “Far Cry”. This game is set in mid-crisis New York. It is a third-person shooter, action role-playing game with a massive multiplayer mode. It features a big open world map with the story revolving around a virus infecting and slowly killing people.
Shooter games like “The Division” are great in many ways, and for one to be based in New York makes a great environment not many gamers would be used to. Most gamers are used to having a specific kind of environment where the game is set in large openings to make it easier to know where you’re going, watch if anything is in your way, or a good place to hunt—like in “Far Cry”. This game lets you manage your division and choose what path it will take in combat. I have seen the beta of this game and its graphics are similar to any other third-person shooter game. This game has more detail and is way more complex than any open-world game I have played before. It makes for a great game to pass the time and shows a lot of potential for being a very well-thought-out and detailed game. If I had to rate this game it would have to easily be close to a 9/10. Some people may think that’s exaggerating but this company knows what people want and knows a lot about shooter games so it will meet a lot of people’s standards.
These games have such great qualities but one is more anticipated than the other. It may be pretty hard to choose with the little information out there right now. These are both great games, but if I had to choose the better game it would have to be “The Division” because it is different then most open-world games; it’s based in a big city with mayhem going on throughout every street corner so I would have to choose “The Division” over “Far Cry Primal”.
