What to watch: ‘Finding Carter’

By Maddi Rose Posted September 22, 2014

The new MTV series, “Finding Carter” is about a sixteen-year-old girl, Carter Stevens who lives a perfect life with her single mother Lori Stevens.  Carter’s whole life changes when she gets busted by the cops for breaking into a carnival with her friends. After she waits at the police station for her mother to come get her, she gets the most shocking news of her life; her mother Lori Stevens is not her mother, she is her kidnapper.

Carter Stevens, played by Kathryn Prescott, was abducted when she was three years old from her front yard by Lori Stevens, played by Milena Govich who raised her as Carter. She finds all this out at the police station when she is reunited with her birth parents Elizabeth and David Wilson, played by Cynthia Watros and Alexis Denisof.  She also finds out she has a fraternal twin Taylor Wilson, played by Anna Jacoby-Heron, and a younger brother Grant Wilson, played by Zac Pullam.

The recommendation this week is Finding Carter because it is a series full of twists, turns, and emotions. The first season just finished, but it airs on Tuesdays at 5:00 p.m. It will pull you in with the first episode.
