Second the best, right? Well hopefully because second is what Lowry placed in the Cross Country meet this week.
Elko and Spring Creek placed first and third, respectively.
“When we first got to Spring Creek, we expected to completely dominate the race. We were wrong,” said freshman, Mikey Shafer.
The Buckaroos definitely tried their best though, as the course was said to be rather difficult.
“The course was much harder than we thought it would be. There was a really steep hill that lasted for around 600 meters,” said Shafer.
The team will be sure to pull together for their meet on Friday, which is at Lowry.
