Movie Review: ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’

A clock that runs backward, Brad Pitt as an old man, and a trip through time, can mean only one thing: an epic tale of love, loss, adventure, and one man’s journey to find a place in this world.

“The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” is a film about a man who ages backward: he was born with the looks and bones of an eighty-year-old man, yet has a mind of a child and in the end dies an infant. To add to the intensity of the film, a very old Benjamin meets the love of his life, Daisy, played by Cate Blanchett, when they are both just kids. The makeup and Computer Generated Image (CGI) made Pitt look like a wrinkly old man and gorgeous Daisy into an old woman.

The 166-minute movie is based on a short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald and brought to life by director David Fincher. This enticing movie is not only great because of the actors’ amazing skills, but the makeup and CGI effects also.

Overall this movie should definitely be on the top of your rental lists, you will not regret watching the heartwarming performances or even the numbness in your legs from the length of this film.
