The team lost its head coach, Patty Herzog, and she has been replaced by assistant coach Mike Owens. Julie Street, Brandon O’Connell and Fleur Jensen are the assistant coaches.

On the girl’s team many valuable swimmers have returned this season such as Johanna Christensen, who won 7th place in the 100-backstroke last year at Zone, Tori Echevarria, Patricia Bates, Olivia Snow, Moriah Avalos, and Laurel Clayson. These are the key swimmers to the success of the girl’s team this season.

On the boy’s team, several swimmers have returned to compete this year. Jessie Pate, Michael Drake, and Jonathan Landa are the ones to look out for this year. As well as Carlos Esparza, A.J Jackson, Tysom Shurtliff, and Tyler Cox are the ones who will gain points for the team.

Although the team lost key swimmers such as McKenzie Gray, Andrew Stephens, and Kinzie McKlintick this year’s swimmers will still have a season to remember, along with the other 20 new swimmers. Before, it used to be a swim team with a total of 10 people, now it has changed and swimming has become a popular sport to join. The Lowry Swimmers will be in action this Saturday at the Northwest Pool in Reno, against Bishop Manogue at 10 a.m.
