Varsity boys slug it out with Spartans

Lowry continued its winning ways as it swept the series from Spring Creek. Earlier in the season the Bucks dropped the Spartans 78-63 at Spring Creek and added another win 60-46, Wednesday, January 27.

The game started off with Spring Creek winning the jump ball and scoring the first three points of the game. Lowry trailed by only one point at the end of the first quarter 9-8 and by four points the second quarter at 27-23 with Spring Creek winning the first half. After the halftime show by the varsity cheerleaders was over the Bucks came out ready to play.

They wasted no time and were out on the court making plays and scoring. Sean Millikan said they had a good halftime speech to encourage them in the second half. David Eastman said that the team played better and scored more points than the other team. The third quarter ended with Lowry finally in the lead 42-36.

Eastman stated he would be working on, “Being a leader.” Millikan said he was going to, “Play bigger.”

Millikan was the leading scorer of the game with a total of 12 points, followed by Eastman with 10, Grant Miller with 8, and Zebidiah Teichert with 7.
