Nathan Perkinson was selected to be this week’s performer of the week. He was selected by Ms. Julia Topholm from her 7th-period Art 1 class. Topholm says that he is an artist in every sense of the word and he puts his all into every piece he creates.

“He has a great sense of layout and design with an outstanding use of color. Nathan has a great grasp of modern art and it is evident in the pieces he creates,” says Ms. Topholm.

Nathan has a great passion for what he does. He puts his all into everything he creates and he brings a positive essence to the classroom because he genuinely enjoys what he is doing.

“I enjoy it because I love the fact that I get to make what I imagine in my head,” said Perkinson.

Not only is he very passionate about what he creates, but so are the other students and teachers. Ms. Topholm supports him greatly and has given him many opportunities to showcase his talent.

“Nathan was selected to represent the Art 1 students alongside three other Lowry art students in the Custom Vans competition,” said Topholm.
Nathan is extremely passionate about what it doe. He is very humble about the work he puts in and is equally as supportive of his fellow peers as they are of him.

“My biggest supporters are Ms. Topholm and some of my classmates,” said Perkinson.

Art is something that Nathan recommends to fellow students. Not only does he find it extremely enjoyable, but he found it as a new way to express himself.

“I think other people should consider art because it lets you put what you imagine and see it in person, plus having no boundaries to what you design. Also, it’s just super fun,” said Perkinson.

Nathan is a very driven artist and creates beautiful pieces. Many of his peers and Ms. Topholm are excited to see what he creates next. Nathan not only brings a positive attitude to class everyday but he also has such a beautiful talent for what he is doing. He is hard-working and very humble about what he creates which is what makes him Performer of the Week.
