The philosophical and the unknown are always interesting topics to take a look at. If you’re looking to feed your curiosity and to illuminate the amazing. Michael Stevens is known for his YouTube channel “Vsauce” which has amazed a total of 11 million subscribers as of January 2017. “Vsauce” focuses on a wide variety of content aimed towards philosophy, illusion, culture, and science. The channel explores out-of-the-ordinary questions as Stevens talks about the subject and using his intellectual smarts he proceeds to give detailed explanations and even add on to broaden our horizons. “Stay curious and embrace what is given and for what is to come,” said Stevens in one video.

Stevens was born on January 23, 1986, in Stilwell, Kansas, and became interested in science, mathematics, and literature early on in his life. When Stevens graduated he attended the University of Chicago and studied Psychology and English Literature to later receive a bachelor’s degree. Stevens got hooked on video editing and created an edited version of the “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” trailer and added visuals from “Friday the 13th.” The video gained much praise and made Stevens realize he had an audience for his creative ideas.

“Vsauce” was born in 2010 and early on was meant to be focused on video games and comedy. The channel later developed to become what it is today with a focus on science and intriguing questions to stimulate audiences to think. Stevens later moved to London in the United Kingdom where he still presides today and continues his work for “Vsauce” and his colleagues “Vsauce2” known as Kevin Lieber and “Vsauce3” Jake Roper who have channels of their own. Stevens also fabricated his unique idea called Do Online Now Guys (D.O.N.G) which is meant to get viewers to explore the internet and visit websites that many may not have thought possible to exist.

Stevens has also been acclaimed for his sharp intellect in 2013 on the talk show “TEDActive” and “TEDxVienna” as TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, and Design. Stevens has also been on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and Jamie Oliver’s YouTube series “FoodTube.” In 2014 Stevens also received an award for best science and education called the “Streamy Award.” All of Steven’s info is based on his website ‘Vsauce.com’.

“A silly or mundane topic can easily become mind-blowing if you take the time to look closer, research, and let your curiosity run wild,” says Stevens with a passionate belief. “Vsauce” continues to expand and reach new boundaries more and more each day to bedazzle and entice the world of YouTube.
