Being in a Percussion class can be an exciting thing to do; especially if you enjoy making and keeping a rhythm. Percussion is the soul of the Pep Band and it also takes a lot of preparation to keep a steady beat. Mr. Paul Criddle chose Jessica Cervantes as the best of the week for her dedication.

“She always intends [in] learning her part and is willing to play any part I give to her,” said Criddle.

Cervantes also keeps a magnetic and likable vibe; wherever she is.

“She always has a very positive attitude,” said Criddle.

Jessica also is acknowledged for her ability to fit right in with any song.

“She’s pretty good at reading rhythms and learning her part. She’s flexible enough to play all kinds of drums. We put her where we need her,” said Criddle.

The Lowry Pep Band has been preparing for its upcoming events throughout the rest of the school year. You’re inserting a lot of words into the quotes. You can also paraphrase or eliminate those parts if they don’t add to the quote. For example, see below

“We’ve been working on our music and preparing for the Tri-Tip Dinner; playing some pretty difficult music. [It’s] coming along quite well,” said Criddle.
